The Lohan Tao is a system of martial arts characterized by the use of quick moves in rapid-fire succession intended to overwhelm an opponent. It is largely marketed as a self-defense system, and is derived from different traditional and modern martial arts found in the cultural melting pot of Hawaii.
But basically, Lohan Tao combines 4 major Martial Arts Styles: Chinese Kempo, Kajukenbo, Wun Hop Kuen Do and a Military Division.
The Lohan Tao is about moving on, respect, honor and Ohana (family). The Lohan Tao was designed to give a standard base to all ICKKF members; the students are encouraged to train all directions of Martial Arts and to understand the principles of Spirit, Mind and Body. The training is based on the Chi principles and the program is well divided with: History, Theories, Forms (Tao), Weapon Forms (Tao), Escrima, Self Defense, Chi Kung, Chin Na and Fighting. The Lohan Tao Method we teach reflects the original Chinese martial arts passed down from one generation to another for hundreds of years -- a tradition our schools continue to this day.
Under the recognition and leadership of BOA the system grown and started to become popular and received is official recognition from the Martial Arts community.
With thousands of members worldwide, Lohan Tao is a success.
